Midwinter is the second moon, cold and deepest dark. The Dark Lady of the Night holds the Forest still in Her trevail.
We gather as children in the darkness calling to our mother in the night to bring her sun and yet He is coming from the east. A fire is lit in the night to call the kindred of the forest together
Bring fare for the winter’s table that all may share; Let us rejoice and merry be.
Ho! for the Light that illuminates our Path and Ho! for the switch to clear our Path. Heh! for the star that guides us and Ho! for the ale that brings us merry be.
