Eve Bruce (MD)
The first non-indigenous woman initiated as a Yachak (Birdpeople Shamans of the Andes), Eve’s shamanic training has been with indigenous Shamans with whom she has close ongoing relationships. Her teachers and initiations have been many, however they have been mostly in the Andes and Amazon forests of South America, the Ojibway of North America, and in Africa, the home of her childhood.
Now living in Ireland, her teachers are the land, trees, faeries and other spirits of this ancestral home, her dreams and those ancestors who have stepped forward to guide her in remembering the White Shamanic Medicine. A Shamanic Practitioner for over 15 years, sessions are as she is guided and may include elements of all these traditions as well as divination using Ogham tree staves and Andean egg or candle readings. An MD from the class of 1984, Dr. Eve Bruce also serves as a bridge between allopathic and indigenous understandings of Medicine, Health and Healing.
